Booking & Prices

Cancellation policy:  more than 6 weeks before the start of rental period - deposit non-refundable (however where payment has been made in full, the difference between the deposit and the full amount will be refunded). Less than 4 weeks prior to rental period - no refunds will be given.

Payment is accepted in £ Sterling or Euros via electronic transfer  (The cost in Sterling will be calculated on the exchange rate on the day of booking.

The maximum number of persons staying in the gites must not exceed the number stated in the website, unless prior consent has been arranged.  Over occupancy and sub-letting is strictly prohibited, as is inviting guests to stay with you during your stay, without prior permission.

Additional beds are available, if required, at a cost of £30 per week but prior arrangements should have been made before arrival.

On departure guests can choose to leave the gite clean & tidy (ie. dishes washed and rubbish placed outside the door) or pay a £40 cleaning charge. PLEASE NOTE  all our beds have mattress/pillow protectors, however,  for hygiene reasons, a wet bed will result in the renter being charged for a new mattress.

All clients agree to be a considerate tenant and leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition and to be respectful of other clients in adjoining gites. All damages, breakages or breakdowns must be reported to the owners promptly so repairs and replacements can be organised prior to the arrival of new clients. The owners retain the right to enter the property to deal with any urgent problems  to carry out repairs deemed necessary to the property or equipment.

Noise: Please respect that the gites are located in a family-oriented location, offering privacy and tranquillity  .  Therefore no loud partying is allowed, to respect the other guests. The stay may be terminated if this condition is not met.

Cots and high chairs are available for use, please notify us at time of booking if these are required.

Bedding and towels are included in the rental. * Please supply your own beach towels as our towels must not be taken off the property.

Large groups can be accommodated - please ask for details.

Dogs allowed only in The DAIRY gite.   There will be a charge of €30.  Owners are wholly responsible for their dog’s behaviour and clean-up.  Any damage caused to fixtures & fittings will be charged accordingly.  Animals must not be left for long periods on their own.  A maximum of two medium sized dogs ( labrador sized) allowed.

Travel Insurance: You must ensure that you have adequate Travel Insurance and a 24 hour emergency telephone number for all guests (compulsory under EC Law). The use of the accommodation and amenities are offered on the condition that they are used entirely at your own risk.  Rieu Normandy Holiday Gites  cannot accept responsibility for accidents, injuries, illness, death or loss or damage to users' or visitors’ property or belongings, including motor vehicles, however caused.

Force Majeur: We recognise in the unlikely event that the accommodation is rendered uninhabitable due to fire, flood or any other means beyond our control, our liability will be limited to a refund of the monies paid only.
