About Us
Perfectly located for enjoying the delights Normandy has to offer….be it culture, history or adventure...our spacious gites are set at the end of a quiet lane, so the only vehicles you may hear are the farmer’s tractor!
All of our gites have been sympathetically renovated to maintain their rustic charm and character. There are exposed wooden beams in all and the original granite flagstone floor in The Dairy. The property is entirely fenced off and the gates are closed at night for security. Ideal for couples wanting a quiet retreat, or families & groups, our gites are well equipped, and include bedding and towels.
There is garden furniture for alfresco dining and several BBQs for guests to use, as well as loungers & a hammock for relaxing in the tranquillity. We also have various ball games for the energetic as well as board games, books & DVDs. For those not wishing to bring their own bicycles we do have a selection for loan if you want to enjoy the surrounding quiet country lanes by pedal power! Please bring your own helmets.
Our Location
Approximately an hour by car, from both Cherbourg and Ouistreham (CAEN) ferry ports.
D Day Beaches - approximately ½ hour to Omaha Beach.
Bayeux - approximately 25 mins - One of the few towns in Calvados to have survived mainly unscathed by WW2 - Tapestry - Museums - Cathedral - WW2 Cemetery - Saturday morning market.
St Lo - approximately 20 mins - Saturday morning market - cinema - bowling - indoor karting - The Famous National Horse Stud - Saturday morning market.
Mont St Michel - approximately 1 ½ hours This tiny island, with its battlements, ramparts and magnificent abbey is a UNESCO world heritage site welcoming over 2.5 million yearly visitors.
Caen - approximately 40 mins - Memorial of Caen museum - many Abbeys - large shopping centre - bars, clubs & restaurants - Festyland Park (adventure park)
Nearest village is Saint Clair sur l’Elle - about 9 mins - it has a small supermarket, bank, post office, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, a tabac and petrol.
Nearest town is Le Molay Littry - about 12 mins - it has a large Super U, Carrefour, banks, bakeries, butchers, post office, petrol, vets, pharmacy, restaurants and a Thursday morning market.

Spacious
Each of our gites are suitable for a family break, with cots & highchair available. We can also accommodate groups in all three gites. Our grounds are available to sit and enjoy the peace & quiet.
On Site
The owners live on site and will be happy to provide any information regarding your stay. We have a very friendly dog - Rolo the chocolate labrador and four cats - Royal, Poppy, Blue & Bob!!
